Encyclical on the Environment

June 17, 2015On June 18, the Vatican issued, “Praised Be: On the Care of Our Common Home” (Laudato si). In this encyclical, Pope Francis calls us to save God’s creation and to protect the poor who are often those most harmed by ecological destruction.The idea of “integral ecology” is at the core of Pope Francis’s message. Through "integral ecology” Pope Francis reminds us that how we relate to one another, especially the poor, and how we relate to the environment are intimately connected.
