FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
First Communion is one of the holiest and most important occasions in a Roman Catholic person's life. This is the first time a person will eat the consecrated bread and drink the consecrated wine, which is the body and blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Preparation for this sacrament follows the guidelines of the Archdiocese of New York, and includes receiving the Sacrament of Confession, or Penance, prior to First Communion.
